How can I participate in the annual On-Time Performance Awards?

Airlines were selected based on a combination of factors, including:


Scheduled Flights - Only airlines with scheduled flights of more than 1,000 scheduled flights per month were considered. Charter, general aviation and other unscheduled services are not considered.

Capacity and Route Network - A combination of available seat miles (ASK) and the extent of an airline route network were used as factors in classifying an airline as global, major, or regional airlines.

Tracking Coverage - For Major and Global airlines, a tracking requirement of 70% is required to be included in the report. For Regional and Low Cost Carriers, the tracking requirement is 65%. Typically, tracking coverage is much higher than this threshold. To ensure complete transparency, we have included the tracking coverage for each airline.

Geography - An airlines home country was used to determine the geography of the carrier.
